Sir,
In reply to your communication, dated March 18,
1885, transmitting permission of the members of Lac Courte Oreilles, that
the East/2, of the NE/4, of the NE/4, of Section 31 Township 40, Range
6, be reserved for church and school purposes. I have to inform you
that the NE/4 of the NE/4 of the said section (being the smallest legal
subdivisions) will be withheld from allotment.
This fact should be noted on your tract book,
